Sicksways

Rico Taylor, aka Sicksways, grew up in Grand Rapids, Michigan, seeking solace in films and music. These were his spotlights illuminating the world beyond his sheltered existence. He turned life into melodies, narrating and translating his experiences into music. His compositions painted vibrant scenes, making him both a spectator and actor in his life's cinematic journey.

When his mother discovered his hidden song-filled papers, Rico's dedication was affirmed. He began lessons with Bonny Debar, recording music at 16, and sharing stages with R&B icons like Jone B, Tank, Ginuwine, and Adina Howard.

In 2014, Rico's ambition drove him to LA. Despite early setbacks, fate guided him to temporary refuge and familiar faces. Living with an Austrian singer opened doors to modeling and connections, leading to collaborations with skilled songwriters and witnessing chart-topping hits' creation.

These experiences rekindled Rico's recording passion. Collaborating with producer Noah Simeon and signing with Godknows label, he embraced creativity's realm. Positioned on the cusp of artistic emergence, Rico Taylor welcomes the world into his cinematic realm, aiming to resonate with listeners through his music, inviting them to discover his narrative fragments and emotions in their unique ways.
