Sid Hart

Sid Hart started singing and performing at the age of 15 as a part of the brother-sister duo "Nina y Sebastián" in his hometown Managua, Nicaragua. In the small Central American country, he quickly rose to teenage superstar status with chart topping hits, but secretly felt restricted by the conservative values of his birthplace.

Upon moving to Norway in 2018, Sid started to develop his solo project under the stage name "Sid Hart", a play on his name Siddharta Sebastián. Now writing in English, he was able to pour out all the stories he had kept hidden as a queer teenager in Nicaragua. Continuing to collaborate with his family, he recorded new songs with his brother, producer Alex Cardenal (Alpaca Beats) and his sister Nina Cardenal in their bedroom studio at the apartment they share in Oslo.

From these sessions they shaped the EP "Boys in Love", a collection of queer love songs filled with honest, sensitive and heartbreaking moments from Sids youth that he had not dared to share until now. The project mixes his singer songwriter roots with influences from 90s pop, rock and techno, creating a dreamy and nostalgic soundscape. The songs have moments of joy, sorrow, lust and love, with the vulnerable and extremely honest lyrics that have characterized Sid from the beginning of his career, but with a newfound sense of humor.
