Sieve was shaped in 1998 by Richard Riza (Sel), Alexandra (Cherry Bombshell) and Regina Rina. Biara EP was released in 1999.
They are considered one of the band who took dark wave into the local scene at the time. Their distinctive approach towards the esoteric, fused with teenage angst rage driven acts gathered the attention of certain audiences, and the band's obscurity after taking a long break makes the 1000 only copies of their album cassette was sought after as a rare collectible items.
The band was in hiatus until Anoa records re-release all Sieve's previous works in 2021, a compiled tracks from their last EP added with some unreleased demo songs and one track "Furies Atonement" taken from the Ticket To Ride compilation album by Spills Rec.
Alexandra created Gergasi Api Api with Ekyno (Full Of Hate, Plum) in 2020.
The band has resurfaced since and they are working on some new works for their upcoming projects.
