It was the lyrical prowess of Nas, 2Pac and DMX that appealed to Silex as he was growing up. Recognizing that rap is about reaching people and story telling he felt confident in himself and what he was able to bring to the table. "It doesn't take much for somebody to feel you,” “I just want people to know that my life isn't so different from theirs."

Ingrained with music from an early age, Silex is one of those artists who feels no pressure when it comes to his craft. His ability to create songs that are built on meaning and substance has earned him play on European platforms such as Hitkrant, Radio 538, The Box, TMF and of course MTV.

So armed with an understanding of what appeals to the masses and a recognition of just how important the business aspect is, Silex is keen to engage a more global following with his music. His debut project "Hold On" is bringing together the countless hours in the studio and the lessons he has learned over the years. Boasting a variety of tracks which each have some meaning to his journey thus far, Silex has embarked upon a promotional campaign to raise his profile and increase his fan base.
