Silly Empire is a musical experimental project created by Gabriel Castillo, a teenager from Mexico City with a love for the music of 80's. Inspired by the genres like funk, pop, R&B of these time, also of synthwave, vaporwave and retrowave. He decide to start to make music in 2019 and finally one year later it's releasing in Bandcamp the first EP called "Nostalgia Analógica". In 2020 a few months later it's released the single "Sara" in digital platforms and Bandcamp.
Gabriel describes his music as an atmosphere of nostalgic and good vibes, with the chill sounds of the 80's, the reverb on the drums, the electronic bass and the iconic synthetizers with sweet melodics and chords.
Now he have starting to explore the urban genre, thank to the album DATA by Tainy.
On the most recent release called "Harü" with Jv75, Gabriel try to mix the sound of retro synthetizers, with the latin percussions.
At present has been released 14 songs under the name of the project.
