Buenos Aires born Silvana Saldaña graduated with honors from the “Manuel de Falla” Municipal Conservatory of Music in Buenos Aires in 1998.
She studied with Marta Norese, Dora Argañaras and María Bello and pursued advanced studies under Eduardo Isaac and Victor Villadangos.
Later she has performed in major concert halls in Argentina, Switzerland, USA, Mexico, Spain, Italy, Germany, Paraguay, Peru, Bolivia, Brazil and Uruguay in solo and duo recitals and as soloist with orchestra.
She win awards at Luis Gianneo and Franz Liszt guitar competitions.
In 2003 Silvana Saldaña recorded her first solo CD, “Argentine and Latin American Music” which received critical acclaim. Silvana and Javier Bravo formed their classical guitar duo in 2000 to become one of the most well-known Argentine guitar duos.
Their first CD titled “A Duo” was released in 2003. It features various musical styles such as baroque and contemporary Latin, as well as new arrangements of tango and Argentine folk music.
In 2013 Silvana and Javier recorded their cd “Carmen!” including Spanish inspired works for two guitars Their recent performances include recitals at the very important international festivals as well as appearance as soloists with the Congress String Orchestra and Toluca Filarmonic Orchestra of Mexico.
Nowadays Silvana develop an important teaching career as guitar professor at Buenos Aires conservatories Astor Piazzolla and UNA and giving master classes in Argentina and abroad.
