STD is from the DFW metroplex and started in June 2005 when Craig Meinhart (vocals) and Aleks Speed (guitar) met through a musician wanted ad in the local rag Harder Beat. Created with the intent to blend different musical subgenres into one anarchic style, they've gone through many lineup changes and hardships before cementing their ideal lineup with John Tapia (guitar), Brandon Chandler (bass), and Josh Leicht (drums). The band is now better and busier than ever.
