Simons “Sima" Marks is an international singer, dancer and songwriter based in Italy.
Her career started performing vocals as a session singer on several Italo disco projects.
Since 1989 - the year of the release of her debut single 'You Got Me Running’ , she has performed exclusively as SIMA.
After the success of the first single, she has released the follow-up ‘Give You Myself’ and several original songs such as ‘Kiss My Lips’, ‘I Need Your Lovin’, ‘I’m Your Angel’.
In 1993, Sima also released in 1993 her own cover version of the famous dance hit ‘Don’t Leave Me This Way’ made famous by Thelma Houston - sounding like a truly clubby anthem for the more glamorous dance floors of the 90’s.
Executive-produced by the Italian company Energy Production owned by Alvaro Ugolini & Dario Raimondi Cominesi, Sima project involved several talented producers and musicians: Massimo Lippoli, Julio Ferrarin, Lamberto Cesaroni, Maurizio Rossi, Pier Di Stolfo, and more.
In 2022, over 30 years after the recording debut, X-Energy delivered on all stores the full-package /Remastered/ release of ‘You Got Me Running’, including essential tracks of the hit single.
