Simón Cifuentes

SIMON CIFUENTES
Simón is a Colombian artist born in Bogotá (Colombia). He is 12years old
An only three, he performed his first concert as a tiple and voice soloist at Centro Cultural Francisco Cristancho in Bogotá.
At four, in the year 2016, Simon fell in love with the bagpipe and Caribbean drums. He learned how to play those instruments with passion. After a short time, he was invited by Gaiteros de San Jacinto to play along in several concerts.
In 2017, he was a special guest at “Cuyabrito de oro” in Colombia and performed as the main show at the Colombian Pasillo Festival. He was also invited to perform at the closing of the Mono Nuñez Festival (Cultural Heritage of Humanity).
In 2018, at six, he was invited to sing along with master Lisandro Mesa and with the musical group Los Rolling Ruanas.
In 2019, the musical group Monsieur Periné invited him to perform at the closing of the Festival Colombia al Parque, they sang together and Simon played the cuatro and the bagpipe.
In 2020, Simon was invited to the International Cuatro Festival in Argertina
In 2022 he was chosen to perform as a singer with the Albor Big Band of Universidad Sergio Arboleda.
In 2023, he appeared at the music contest La Voz Kids Colombia and reached the semifinal stage. He was also a special guest to launch the album “Hombre absurdo” at Lincoln Center and also he was a special Tito Puente Junior guest in the Lemah center ,He have performed in jazz at Lincoln Center and City Winery as a Guest .
