Simon L Bayliss

Simon (L) Bayliss is a visual artist and music producer, based in St Ives, Cornwall, UK. He spent his formative years immersed in the trance, techno, and drum & bass scenes in the rural South West and has been making and self-releasing dance music, as well as DJing, for more than two decades. His music videos have been frequently shown in contemporary art gallery contexts including solo exhibitions at Plymouth College of Art, and Exeter Phoenix, plus screenings at various venues including Tate St Ives, Cornwall, Kunstraum, London and Eastside Projects, Birmingham.

Between 2015–17, Bayliss produced the radio show ‘Squirming the Worm’, hosted by Coco de Moll (a.k.a. Lucy Stein) on NTS, and now has his own bi-monthly show ‘Meet me in the Carpark’ on RTM.fm, featuring his latest mix of rave bangers, sprinkled with reading of queer poetry. He is also one half of club-duo <a href="spotify:artist:24JWXxCg54D48YwkF2l9qC" data-name="Splash Addict">Splash Addict</a> with Susie Green, and brother to hard-dance producer <a href="spotify:artist:6gAvRc5sWUauSE9aHb2msB" data-name="Lobsta B">Lobsta B</a>. Born in 1984, Wolverhampton, he was raised in Andros, Bahamas, then Devon, UK.
