Originally from Victoria, a small town in the heart of Transylvania, Simona-Valentina is a pop-folk singer-songwriter based in London, UK. She has a very funny and true story to tell about her singing with her head in the washing machine when she was a child.
From singing with her head in the washing machine, Simona-Valentina has come a long way. She released a few songs in her own studio in London and performed live at various events and venues around the city. Her third written single, Blue Tattoo, won a Semi-Finalist award in the 2019 International Songwriting Competition (ISC).
Her love for music started when she was very young, mostly inspired by 70’s-90's music that she discovered from many vinyls and cassettes her family owned. Her music, dreamy and meditative in nature, talks about unfulfilled love, break-ups and other love and romantic dramas, but also about the idea of empowering others through music, finding the courage to succeed in life, and so on. She is inspired by artists such as Celine Dion, Kate Bush, Dolly Parton, Sia, Tori Amos, Lana del Rey and many others.
She is about to release a new single, Seasons, a pop-folk love song which talks about the seasons of the heart and how things are changing similarly to the seasons of the nature. It is a meditative love song that will touch the hearts of the listeners and make them contemplate on how love keeps coming back and how the cycle of love keeps repeating in your heart.
