Simone is a Danish pop singer who rose to fame as an adolescent singing sensation on the television show Scenen Er Din. She subsequently made her chart-topping album debut in 2005. Born Simone Egeriis on January 28, 1992, in Slagelse, Denmark, she appeared as a contestant on the Scenen Er Din talent show in 2004. In the wake of her star-making performance on the show, the adolescent singing sensation made her full-length album debut with Vindens Farver (2005). The album was a commercial blockbuster success, topping the Danish albums chart. The follow-up album, On a Night Like This (2005), was holiday themed, released in time for the Christmas shopping season. It was a number two hit, thanks in part to the long-running success of Vindens Farver, which charted for 34 weeks overall. Third album Dreams Do Come True (2006) was an English-language effort.
