Sinego is the face of a new generation of Latin dance music.
Alterego, is an ode to Latin folk music. The album is a journey across the region, blending modern dance aesthetics with the regional genres of a different country for each song. It features collaborators Cucu Diamantes (Cuba, Grammy-nominated), Lucy Vives (Colombia, daughter of Carlos Vives), Fernando Milagros (Chile) & Pahua (Mexico, of Sotomayor), as well as remixes by Xinobi, El Búho & Moullinex.
The album was acclaimed by The Fader. Sinego was selected by The Grammys as one of “7 Latin DJs To Watch In 2023” and by Beatport as one of its “Next” artists in 2024. After the album's release Sinego was picked to perform at Latin America’s biggest stages Corona Capital & EDC Mexico, in The United States at Burning Man & Lightning In A Bottle and in Europe at Ibiza's Playa Soleil & a residency at Dolce & Gabanna’s club opening in Marbella.
For his acclaim as a selector Sinego was handpicked among the first three Latin artists to release an official DJ Mix on Spotify, and his official Sinego's track IDs playlist is the most followed of any Latin artist. He curates the official Viajero mix series for Apple Music where he highlights a range of Latin collaborators. Sinego has remixed tracks for Sofi Tukker, Bomba Estéreo & Matanza (Rodrigo Gallardo).
