My love for making music started in 7th grade when I downloaded FL Studio onto my first laptop. Initially, I was focused on recreating the electronic music I was heavily listening to at the time. My favorite artists included Daft Punk, Skrillex, Frontliner, Deadmau5, and Tiësto. As my musical tastes evolved and expanded, I fell in love with hip hop and trap music. Producers like Kanye West, Southside, Zaytoven, and Young Chop quickly became the sounds I wanted to emulate in my own way.

Toward the end of high school, I worked on a few songs with friends, recording them over beats I had made. When I met <a href="spotify:artist:397nKMsSbCeIITk9JoiSqN" data-name="Clay Mont">Clay Mont</a> in college, we started producing together, completing a full-length mixtape for a friend, entirely produced and mixed by us. We went on to spend many of our college nights recording and producing songs under the name Ashmont. While in the end, none of those songs were officially released, they laid an important foundation for the future sound of Sir Johnny Ash.

Years later, I’m excited to move forward with the Sir Johnny Ash project and finally release some finished work for the world to hear.
