Hailing from Lotherton Community, also known as “The Village” in Toronto and raised as a pastor's son in a Pentecostal church; Sir Travis Knight has been forged amongst music. Music has always been a part of his survival toolkit and a belief that there are forces at work that are so much bigger than us. Whatever name you choose to give that force—Travis believes that we are part of it, on a continuum. All of it combined, comes out of the Black experience, the necessity to figure out ways to be free. No matter the situation.
