SIRICAIA are a duo from Aveiro, Susie Filipe (percussion and vocals) and Vítor Hugo (vocals, harmonica and guitar). "Família Fandango" is SIRICAIA's 1st album, which portrays through music, painting, literature and video, the life of a typical Portuguese family, over 4 generations, on a journey back to the roots of traditional music, using contemporary and electronic sounds. From folk Portuguese rhythms to jungle swing, SIRICAIA explore various artistic influences, looking for new answers to old questions. With a strong visual component, “Família Fandango” involves 18 Portuguese artists from various artistic backgrounds and proposes new ways of looking at the identity of Portuguese families in the past, present and future.
"Manta de Retalhos" is their brand new album and arises from the need to join several performing arts. In this context, SIRICAIA bring together dance, music and multimedia to create a fusion between these forms of expression, as well as in a patchwork quilt, where each piece and small frames can compose a larger structure.
