Sirqus Alfon is the story of some friends who started as street artists and then ended up on the big stages in the world. With roots in the street scene and love for technology, Sirqus Alfon uses lasers, optical illusions, video loops and music to shape their own theatrical expression. During the pandemic, the group has worked in isolation and intensively as a creative household to create a new show and produce their own dance music.
During Sirqus Alfon's many tours around the world, they have played at illegal Russian clubs in eastern Germany, shared the stage with punk bands in Bolivia, and been hailed by Mel B in America's Got Talent. When the group entered the studio with former Sirqus Alfon member Markus Jägerstedt (Robyn, Little Jinder, Markus Krunegård), the result was sweaty songs with character, like rave parties out on the countryside.
“In Markus Jägerstedt's studio, we transformed the memories from our adventures into sticky sounds, dug deep into the synth piles and created the crunchiest, most beautiful thump, as a challenge for your speakers to cope with. There are tributes to dance music's dirtiest children, techno, moombahton, UK garage and trap.”
Pizzaslize, run by Frej Larsson and his crazy crew, are proud publishers of Strike A Pose. The record company is known for releasing works that push boundaries, and Sirqus Alfon contributes a resilient element to the catalog of cross-border art and music that blurs the lines between different disciplines.
