Malaysian singer-songwriter and accomplished piano accompanist Sissy Imann’s music covers the upbeat pop genres; but being the avid experimenter that she is, hints of gypsy and bossa nova elements can be traced in her unique musical style. In 2018, Sissy graduated with a Bachelor in Teaching majoring in Music Education with first class honours, and was also awarded The Best Graduate Award for her course. Further cementing her position as a versatile personality, Sissy went on to diversify her career as a celebrity TV host and an actress, while still maintaining her passion as a lifelong music educator.
Possessing a rare signature vibrato style, Sissy’s vocal has been dubbed as unique in all her performances. Her rise to prominence on the local music scene happened in 2013 with the release of the hit single “Mungkin Kamu” which she wrote herself. The song went on to make waves for Sissy over the years, winning the Best Original Soundtrack (OST) at the Drama Festival Kuala Lumpur Award in 2016. She was also nominated in the Top 5 for the Best New Artiste (Female) Award for Anugerah Planet Muzik in 2015. Sissy has been a household name in the music industry for almost 8 years, and has been consistently writing and releasing songs till date.
