Siviwe Smash is a Cape Town–based artist/producer with a sharp DIY streak and a sound that threads rap, R&B, and late-night atmospherics. Raised in South Africa’s Eastern Cape, he started building beats on a copy of Timbaland’s Beatorator, a scrappy beginning that still fuels his self-taught, hands-on approach today.

He broke out with a trio of 2018 singles—“Come Round” “Right Now,” and “East”—and has kept the momentum with a growing catalog that he writes, records, produces, mixes, and masters himself. Recent drops like “Can I” and “MAHAL KITA” underline that end-to-end craft: the former arrives with trap slickness; the latter flips the Tagalog phrase for “I love you” into a moody, late-night confession.

In 2025 he pushed further with new SoundCloud heaters (“PULL UP,” “STARSTRUCK”), doubling down on glossy melodies, heavy bass, and diaristic hooks. Influences range from Eli Sostre and Jaden to Zoocci Coke Dope, but the voice is unmistakably his—minimal, magnetic, and built to loop back the second it fades.
