Artist and entrepreneur Six Sev (born Elijah Simmons) is not only cut from the same cloth of his neighborhood hero, but his art also embodies a prolific attempt to map out a future for his city in the wake of one of Hip Hop's greatest tragedies. Born in the Crenshaw District of Los Angeles, CA, Sev is the artist behind the Super Mall design featured in Nipsey Hussle‘s Marathon store — and the talent destined to keep the heart of his Leimert Park community beating. His debut project Sevshaw is a testimony to the legacy Nipsey Hussle left behind, highlighting moments of black enterprise, gentrification, social change, and LA culture. As a community leader, Sev has offered creative direction for visuals that include "Old Town Road", partnered with Adidas to donate shoes to Crenshaw High School students, and is responsible for the "Make Crenshaw Great Again" campaign impacting the city he calls home. ~ Jaz
