SjennieMan, born and raised in the heart of Amsterdam-Oost, is an artist whose music reflects his journey, struggles, and triumphs. Nicknamed "Sjennie" from a young age, a family tradition passed down from his father's side, music has always been a part of him. Influenced by the legendary Michael Jackson, his passion for both dance and music blossomed early on. However, despite having musical parents, he never received the push to fully develop his talents during his unstable childhood.
In 2015, SjennieMan made his debut with the track "Tell em why u lie about that," featuring Swizzy and produced by Don-D. The song caught the attention of artists like Kevin Little and Red Cafe on Instagram, proving to Sjennie that with the right support, even the impossible was achievable. However, in 2016, after the passing of his great-grandmother, who had raised him, SjennieMan stepped back from music.
It wasn’t until 2021, after a life-changing trip to New York—hip-hop's Mecca—that he reignited his passion. Visiting all five boroughs of the city, SjennieMan shot the video for his track "Haaannn," which caught the eyes of hip-hop icons Tony Yayo (G-Unit) and Fat Joe (Terror Squad). Their reactions fueled his motivation, leading to a feature on Tony Yayo’s mixtape, Nice With Da Yayo Vol 2, and an unforgettable Instagram Live call with Fat Joe, who praised his work.
Releasing new music, his latest track Do My Thing. Fully independent, reflects his life experiences and dedication.
