Skhumba De Dj

HOUSE DJ and producer Skhumba De DJ is the master of his own sound.
The musician who real name is Thabang Sithuga said he learnt to be a producer at a very young age.
The 25-year-old from Venda, Limpopo told SunBuzz that he used to play his sets at local parties and this made him to learn more about production. I knew back then that all I need is to perfect my craft,” said Skhumba De DJ.
The musician said he moved to Joburg to pursue his career in music in 2009.
This is where he released his debut single titled Jazzy Material.
Speaking to SunBuzz Skhumba De DJ said: “I realised that there are lots of opportunities here in Joburg and I didn’t want to miss one. I saw this by the time I used to visits my parents during school holidays and that made me to pack my bags and come this side.”
He said he started going to events to mingle with other musicians and create a relationship with some of them.
Skhumba De DJ said he will always lock himself in the room just to better his skills of productions.
He said this made him to know more about his weakness and strength as a musician.
“As an up-and-coming musician you need to do lots of researches on how other musicians made it big. This also helps you to work on your brand and make sure it is visible to your supporters and people know about it,” said the musician.
In 2011, he was one of the top 4 finalist of the Jack Daniel Music Scout that was held in Joburg.
