Skill Tha Lightmare is an American rap artist, producer, and public speaker from San Bernardino, CA, known for music rooted in hope, correction, wisdom, and love. He began rapping at age 7 and started releasing music in 2005 with “The Dino ft. 40 Glocc,” followed by Tha Mixtape Vol. 1 and early features that helped him build a strong West Coast foundation while selling thousands of mixtapes independently.
In 2006, he surrendered his life to God and shifted from street influenced rap to a mission driven Christian message. He released Rubbed The Wrong Way Vol. 1 and 2, Born 2 Times, and Just Listen 2 This, projects shaped by repentance, conviction, and spiritual growth. He continued building his catalog with Do You Know, The Real King, Westernized, Trynna Maintain, and featured on various Hog Mob projects.
Entering the 2020s, Skill released purpose filled singles, including #FavorFaithFocus, #SuperChargedFavor, #FavorSteppin, and Collection Plate. His collaboration with Du2ce on the Light Up EP expanded his reach and impact. In 2025, he released Cruising Mt. Vernon, a reflective tribute to his San Bernardino roots and a testimony of survival, favor, and calling.
As an active member of Hog Mob Ministries, Skill serves through outreaches, prisons, juvenile facilities, recovery programs, schools, colleges, and community events. He teaches workshops, creates vlogs, and uses his platform to confront destructive influences with truth, identity, and purpose.
