SKIMM is a DJ/Producer from Yangon, Myanmar who produces Trap, Bass, Speed House and other subgenres.
Background:
SKIMM began producing music in 2009 by making hip-hop and rap beats for collaborations with mainstream and underground rappers. He started the next phase of his career when he began both DJ-ing and producing EDM in 2014.
Recognitions:
SKIMM releases his own original productions and remixes. In May 2016, he released “Desiigner- Panda(SKIMM Remix)” and entered it into the Spinnin Talent Pool. Among all the tracks made by talented producers worldwide, “Desiigner – Panda (SKIMM Remix)” ranked #14 in the All Genre chart and ranked #1 in the Trap chart for one month until June 2016.
In addition, SKIMM also released the original mix “Possession” on May 8th 2017. “Possession” gained recognition from internationally recognized and popular YouTube music promotion channels such as Hard Trap and Hard Nation. Many local and international artists supported the track in their sets and gave great feedback. The song currently has over 200K plays and views across all streaming platforms.
Recently, Skimm collaborated with US Rap artist Rico Act for the song “Face Crack.” The song was released by Hybrid Track Records and gained over 10K listens on SoundCloud within a day. It also ranked #2 on SoundCloud’s New & Hot Trap Chart. To date, “Face Crack” has over 120K listens on YouTube and SoundCloud and got supported from bass artists Litlords and Riot Ten.
