Sky was always drawn to singing and dancing as a child. She learned how to play ukulele with friends and began writing songs as a teen. she is drawn to many styles of music, which makes for her unique sound. Sky is a dance teacher and strong advocate of the arts, education, and social justice. In 2020 she became the first Black or Latina woman to be elected to her home town City Council.
