Originally from Sacramento, CA now based in Los Angeles, CA. SKYROVER was formed by <a href="spotify:artist:054DtVz4OVwuHzE2clGsqB" data-name="Mark Fonseca">Mark Fonseca</a> ( <a href="spotify:artist:4oBqkcln4zI5JkfxSJUQDq" data-name="Advntr">Advntr</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:0LlELnM6AFzWkaNm0ZFlvr" data-name="The Mad Professional">The Mad Professional</a>) in 2023. SKYROVER songs can be heard in "Love Is Blind", "Married At First Sight", "Temptation Island", & more to come.
SKYROVER was started by Fonseca because he was having too much fun writing pop songs for TV shows.
The songs didn't fit into his artist stuff, so he thought it would be a ton of fun to make a new band where he can release these fun & sometimes heartbreaking tracks.
BACK STORY: In 2011 Mark went to Nashville, TN to record a 5 song EP with <a href="spotify:artist:1lJC5MbTUW5ld4yXzNB0H4" data-name="Andrew Osenga">Andrew Osenga</a>. In 2012 Mark and his wife moved to SoCal in pursuit of music. Mark played live gigs at the then Hollywood Renaissance, Rusty's Santa Monica Pier, & The Canyon Club Agoura Hills where he opened up for <a href="spotify:artist:2KpCZazKx8c2qBDtNXvmvf" data-name="Richie Furay">Richie Furay</a>. It was at the Hollywood Renaissance Hotel gigs where Mark met actor/composer Michael J. Gonzales. Gonzales asked Mark to team up with him in scoring on an indie film project produced by now Stunt Performer Shahaub Roudbari called "Losing Her". The film went on to win best feature film at the Noor Iranian Film Festival.
In 2015 Mark worked with <a href="spotify:artist:6H8ZzmkRyGBCAZ3NWL4BaC" data-name="Nathan Walters">Nathan Walters</a> (<a href="spotify:artist:5TMRulP603VraQhrFUUKnR" data-name="Plus One">Plus One</a>) on an EP. The title track "Can't Just let Go" can be heard on Temptation Island, Love is Blind, & Married at First Sight.
In 2018 Mark met Sam Knaak at an event by <a href="spotify:artist:2nFL15umd0AmgPt7bOTfRo" data-name="Cathy Heller">Cathy Heller</a>. They formed ADVNTR & The Mad Professional.
Mark is married with 3 kids and plays keys at church weekly.
