Jay Allen writes and performs satirical pop songs for the Internet under the name SLACKCiRCUS, best known for creating the viral music video-turned-meme Fabulous Secret Powers / HEYYEYAAEYAAAEYAEYAA / He-Man Sings. Allen’s falsetto-forward techno-pop cover of 4 Non Blondes’ 1992 hit, “What’s Up” has amassed millions of listeners since it first appeared online in 2005. A mere 15 years later, SLACKCiRCUS followed up with the dark wave theatrics of “Villainous Behaviours,” an original song dedicated to obvious villains everywhere. Most recently, Allen released the modern disco single “B.N.F (Brand New Face),” soon to be a He-Manimated music video.
