Poppity-punkity rock with a side of existential dread.
Slacker By Definition (SxD) started as a four-piece in the early 2000s, cranking out pop-punk anthems that could’ve landed them on Warped Tour—if only life had worked out that way. After a few years perpetually arrested in teenage rebellion and power chords, frontman Chuck packed up and moved from West Tennessee to London, leaving SxD in the dust. The band was dead. Or so it seemed.
Fast forward to 2020: global chaos, existential crises, and way too much free time. In true pop-punk fashion, Chuck resurrected SxD as a one-man project (think Panic! At The Disco, but without the vocal range—or the budget), fueled by nostalgia, self-deprecating humor, and an ongoing midlife crisis.
With songs laced with 90s/early 2000s nostalgia, anxiety-ridden storytelling, and just the right amount of whining (the good kind), Slacker By Definition is back—writing, recording, and wondering what the hell happened.
For fans of Alkaline Trio, blink-182, Green Day, and every band that ever played Warped Tour.
