Norwegian band SLAVES TO FASHION released two critically acclaimed albums and toured Norway, Finland and Germany between 2007 and 2014 with their own twist of progressive metal. After some line-up changes the band disbanded and only sporadically appeared as MOTESLAVENE, the acoustic pop version of the band playing their own songs in Norwegian.
In 2020 the band returned with the ambitious concept album project "The History of Heavy Metal". The band released one new song each month that honoured and payed tribute to the different time periods and subgenres from 50 years of heavy metal. The full album was released February 13th 2021.
