Sleep Nation: The Out-of-Control Alt-Rock Duo
Born from the heart of Nashville’s rock scene, Sleep Nation is an electrifying alternative rock duo that proves two musicians can pack the punch of an entire band. Sharing stages with rock heavyweights like Adema and Sponge, Merritt and Lauretta have built a reputation for delivering high-energy performances and explosive soundscapes.
Their breakthrough came in 2014 when I Want You Back landed on 102.9 The Buzz’s "Local Buzz Top 25," and Sunset Island Music ranked them the #2 unsigned band worldwide. A year later, their track I'm a Werewolf, But That's Ok found a home on the soundtrack for Hair of the Dog, accompanied by the music video for Mr. Unlucky.
In 2016, Sleep Nation unleashed their debut album, with the single Slip earning “Local Buzz Cut of the Week” honors. Since evolving into a duo in 2020, they've continued their sonic assault with a string of hard-hitting singles like SPACEman (feat. Daisy Dead), Get Out, Sophistication, and Crybaby—all leading up to their 2023 sophomore album, And Then There Were 2….
Now in 2024, Sleep Nation is turning up the volume once again with the release of Deadbeat Disco, an album that blends their signature alt-rock intensity with infectious grooves and a rebellious edge. With this latest chapter, the duo continues to push boundaries and shake the alt-rock scene to its core.
