Slim Tyme

Slim Tyme was born in Port-Harcourt Nigeria and has been doing music since the age of 4. Starting on the guitar which he left for a while and then picked up the keyboard at the age of 7. While learning the keyboard, he began to dabble in playing the drums. At the age of 10, he started on the saxophone on which he was taught two scales and proceeded to teach himself from there. He attended Faith Academy in Nigeria where at the age of 12, he began to produce beats for students who would perform at the school's talent shows from time to time. After moving to Canada at 14, he began to take music production more seriously while learning from youtube. In 2015, at the age of 19, he would go on to start learning how to dj and landed his first djing gig, just over a month after he started learning.


Slim Tyme is a producer that likes to blend and fuse together sounds and styles that wouldn't normally be expected to work well. Being able to adapt to a variety of genres, Slim Tyme likes to make hiphop, rnb and afrobeat jams. His music is more focused on spreading joy and positivity as well as addressing issues that plague our society. Each track has a story behind it and with each release, he hopes to make the world a slightly better place. As he likes to say, he creates "Music For Hope".
