John Egwim officially known by his stage name “Slimm J” is an independent artist from the Eastern part of Nigeria. Slimm J is a talented afrobeat singer and performer. He started his music career fully in 2019 and since then he has been making waves in the music industry. In 2019 he released his first official single titled “ Understand” featuring one of the best artist in the industry “T Classic”
Slimm J was born in September 16 1994. He is originally from Okigwe IMO State Nigeria.
As a child his parents didn’t support his music career. They decided to send him to college to study Mechanical Engineering just to take his mind away from his music calling. Slimm J graduated from Mechanical Engineering in one of the best universities in the south east. Despite this, faith continues to be a driving force in his life.
“J Nation” as Slimm J IDs himself on his songs is his record label owned by him.
