Slip In The Slide Out is the current recording project of Houston-based songwriter, vocalist, and producer David Joseph Maroul, created and produced under his studio alias <a href="spotify:artist:4nEJdJCwi5us94x65WADej" data-name="Arc Rev One">Arc Rev One</a>. The music blends analog warmth with modern digital production — weaving live instrumentation, layered textures, and spatial design into a contemporary psychedelic sound.
Maroul’s work balances atmosphere and songcraft, exploring reflective lyrics and vivid imagery while maintaining a clear sense of structure and tone. Slip In The Slide Out continues his long evolution as a self-produced artist, carrying forward the independent spirit that has shaped his career.
Maroul first emerged as vocalist and guitarist for The Van Goghs, part of Houston’s 1980s Axiom-club scene and contributors to Axiom Vol. 1. He later released the solo album Acid Country (Radical Records, 1991, co-produced with Robbie Parrish) and years later formed the <a href="spotify:artist:7aA0hTeAHVFPjksxxQ7gVX" data-name="Acid Country">Acid Country</a> Band, releasing Talk About Space in 1996. Each phase has built toward Slip In The Slide Out — a synthesis of songwriting, experimentation, and sonic design rooted in both analog tradition and digital exploration.
