Slipped is a 23-year-old artist and lyricist from Mexico City who now lives in Denver. He began rapping and writing with his high school friends in a group named "Dudes On The Moon" and had great success with songs like "Pull Up" and "YERT" within their local community. As time went on the group slowly stopped making music but Slipped wanted to keep going.
As a solo artist Slipped is very versatile with his flow, cadence, and melodies thanks to his diverse taste in music. In high school, Slipped was a part of the jazz band hence why many of his beat selections are inspired by classic jazz tunes as well as his love for musicians like John Coltrane and Miles Davis. He also takes inspiration from hip-hop artists such as Saba and Mac Miller whose discographies can always be found in Slipped's playlists.
Slipped's project "PREP" which was released on May 29th, 2020 is an eight-track experience with the goal of sharing his memories of high school and life throughout those four years. This was also an opportunity for Slipped to display to his fans and listeners his uniquely modern style and his musical ability which is still developing and gets better with every new release. The EP was very well received amassing around two thousand streams within the first month of its release. Fans can't wait to see what's next from Slipped and how his talent develops.
