Sloujin

Hailing from Los Angeles, Sloujin, born Daniel Vasquez is a 22-year-old DJ and producer. Nurtured from an early age by his mother's love for funk, soul, jazz, and rock, Daniel holds a deep, intuitive musical connection. Though he grew up on the classics, Daniel discovered Deadmau5’s Random Album Title in elementary school and it ignited his love for electronic music, and then in 2016, Daniel discovered Kaytranada, which flamed the spark that led him into the house music scene.

After years of developing his taste and exploring the scene, Daniel taught himself to produce on a 7-day free trial of Ableton Live at the age of 21 and then released his first track within the first 6 months. As a producer, Sloujin’s goal is to create music that brings energy and deep grooves to his listeners while still showcasing respect for his musical roots.

Daniel views DJs and musicians as the ultimate gatekeepers of energy and responsible for taking their audience on a journey. He holds two goals: to keep people moving on the dance floor as well as to continue artistic growth and innovation in the studio.

Now, less than a year later, Sloujin is poised as the next tastemaker of the underground scene.
