“I am different,” the lyrics from Slymkrez’ song, “Different,” the opening track on his debut soundpiece, “LTTM/DSTM” aptly reflects his personality as an artiste.
Born Prosper Igenuma, Slymkrez is an emerging voice within the Nigerian music community. Under the management of Interspace Control, Slymkrez flourishes as an independent artiste whose artistry has always soared with an exciting progressiveness, rarity and cultural heritage.
Hailing from Edo State, the 24-year-old singer is primarily a fusion artiste, with a fine control of Emo RnB, Reggae, and Pop. After honing his skill during his teenage years, Slymkrez faced reality full-time as a musician, in 2018, where he tapped the award-winning rapper, Blaqbonez, on his viral hit, “Money.” He went ahead to stretch his appeal with his growing fanbase with a follow-up track, “Dream life,” in 2020.
Essentially, Slymkrez’ music is youth-centric, exploring the realities of every ambitious, love-driven youth.
Within his debut EP, “Listen To The Message, Don’t Shoot The Messenger,” he reflects his creativity as he creates a chilled, mid-tempo record that reflects his typical themes.
Featuring guest spots from A-Q & Kpemeshi to complement his groove on this EP, with their sleek bars and lithe vocals, respectively.
