Interested in electronic music since the early age of 6, Matias Leopoldo (1996) started innocently collecting music that he would later use in his DJ sets. At the age of 12 he started getting into production and the art of djing.
His first musical project was called TTM (redacted) (2009 - 2012) a duo with Gonzalo Martin, with whom he still shares the dj booth with since their first gig.
In 2011 he adopts the alias ¨bbrainz¨, and becomes well known in the internet-spawned genre, Vaporwave. Independently releasing 11 albums through his bandcamp, and some physical releases in other labels, the last one being in 2015.
Afterwards, he changes his name to Slythe (his mom’s surname) and goes back to his roots in house and techno, diving deeply into rave culture.
Now, at 25 years old and with various releases across different aliases, including vinyl records and some cassette tapes, he has worked with labels such as SIC Records (USA), Classic Airlines (Bs.As), Musica Lunar (Arg) Raw Cuts Sur (Rio Negro), Guerrilla Tunes, 99 Tapes (Cba), Got It From Soulseek (?), and his own net label, Dotcom.
His dj sets stand out for the diversity in genres, eras, and regions of the music, the most notable being house from Chicago, techno and electro from Detroit.
Warmed up for and shared the dj booth with artists such as DJ Koolt, Whoann, Violett, Jorge Savoretti, Mariano, Franco Cinelli, Pedro D Alessandro, Muveo, Gonzie, Manuel Matus, Alexis Cabrera, Cape, Person Of Interest (nyc), and +.
