On their self titled americana style debut album (Iivana Records 2024) Smalltime Players - Edu Kettunen, Mika Kuokkanen, Johanna Iivanainen and Mikko Iivanainen will offer sensitive interpretations, life-flavored stories, perfectly matched vocals and a mellow accompaniment.
Many of Edu Kettunen’s classic songs have become almost folk songs that are passed down from generation to generation. Edu has managed to skillfully stitch together the original Finnish language, the Finnish mental landscape and the Anglo-American music tradition.
In addition to the band Hoedown, Mika Kuokkanen is also known as a singer-guitarist from J. Karjalainen's Lännen-Jukka ensemble and his collaboration with Ninni Poijärvi.
Awarded several awards in the music industry, Johanna Iivanainen, has released three solo albums (Kadotaan uneen, Mustarastas laulaa and Broken River) and has been featured in more than 50 recordings.
Mikko Iivanainen is a versatile guitarist known from many ensembles. Mikko has released three solo albums Las Room, A River Runs Through It and Lullaby for Lost Souls.
