Smith Komma John is a guitar trio playing energetic jazz rock with tunes weaving in and out of styles and genres but with their feet grounded in improvised music. Guitarist Stian Larsen, bassist Adrian Myhr and drummer Tore Sandbakken met during their studies on the Norwegian State Academy of music and started experimenting with the format over years touring Norway and Europe. Their new record "Music For Humans" was recorded in Amper Tone in Oslo 13th-14th of May 2021, and is being released on Jazzland Rec on the 25th of March 2022. The record is mixed by Kim Lillestøl and mastered by George Tanderø.
