Smoke the Bees were an alt psych rock band formed by Lorenzo Rando (guitar, vocals, samples) and Samir Hadade (drums) in Turin, Italy in 2012.
Their music is intense, atmospheric, reflective as well as tuneful, irreverent and catchy, combining diverse genres and influences and diverging from the local music scene and the Italian music in general. Source of inspiration are Radiohead, Syd Barrett, John Frusciante, and the Icelandic music scene.
After a full-length album, a live EP, a double single, and 50+ gigs across Europe, Smoke the Bees disbanded in 2020 during the covid-19 outbreak.
