Smooth Operator 3000

United by the passion for music the three Düsseldorf, Germany based artists Fede, Taimles, and Toto decided to fuse their creativity and talent by working together on music productions. After random sessions in 2016 they released their first collaborative song 'Fettuccine' on Ching Zeng's '#Vibes' compilation. Following this electronic chill vibe they released 'Chillerplatz', the first track under the alias Smooth Operator 3000.

Inspired by a wide musical spectrum The trio's sound soon evolved into an eclectic mix of Soul/Funk with Hip Hop and Future Beats. The name Smooth Operator 3000 came out as a combination of these genres. On the one hand, it's inspired by Sade who represents the soulful side of their music and on the other hand, there's Big Daddy Kane with the funky Hip Hop influence of Smooth Operator. The 3000 brings in the futuristic character and bridges the gap between oldschool and the modern day beat scene.

With songs like 'LePhonk', 'La Malanga', or 'Bailekah Badu' the three producers received worldwide recognition and support by DJ's and tastemakers such as Soulection's Andre Power, Hannah Faith, Kronika, Jael, Kitty Cash and KCRW's Anthony Valadez.

To spread their own sound and to get a direct feedback of their fans, Smooth Operator 3000 are ready to hit the clubs with their soundsystem. Fede and Taimles have been playing solo dj-sets all over Germany for more than 10 years, and together they bring twice the heat to every dancefloor out there!
