Smug Brothers hail from the mythical town of Dayton, OH. Formed by Kyle Melton and DERL in 2004, legendary indie rock drummer Don Thrasher [ex-Swearing At Motorists/Guided By Voices] joined the fold in 2008. The venerable Columbus, OH man-about-town Kyle Sowash joined on bass in time for the release of the band's late-2019 album, SERVE A THIRSTY MOON. In spring 2022, guitarist Ryan Shaffer joined the fold for the ANOTHER BAR BEHIND THE NIGHT. Following on the success of 2023's IN THE BOOK OF BAD IDEAS, Smug Brothers return with another Anyway Records release: STUCK ON BETA-OUT NOW!!!
