Punkrock trio from Stockholm. Heavy distorted guitars. Trashy drums. Filthy ol’ synthesizer.
Simplicity, clarity and the ability of making things naturally straight forward. Seven years after their critically acclaimed debut album ”Cradle of Snake” hit the stores, three piece Stockholm based unit Snake is ready to unleash their heavily anticipated sophomore album ”Undreams” on May 12th. Brilliant and explosive, with the same unfiltered rawness that characterizes the way music sounds when Tess De La Cour, Madeleine Frankie and Mia Maria Johansson are playing together in one room. Vocals are strong, guitars are thunderous and drums energetic.
A lot happened around Snake in short time frame around the release of the band’s debut album. They performed all over the country and in mainland Europe, supported classic hardcore act Refused, and were awarded at the Swedish indie awards Manifestgalan as ”Best Rock”. Soon thereafter a natural pause occured, a pause that seamlessly turned into a couple of years of hiatus. The band members developed new interesting projects: Mia Maria Johansson released her debut solo album; Tess De La Cour raised international interest with her Memoria project and Madeleine Frankie released music as a part of Night Terror. Both De La Cour and Frankie also participated in the high profile project Riot Grrrl Sessions.
Now Snake is back - more intense and more relevant than ever.
