L. Headtrip took a fresh start with SKS and recorded a new album ‘The Meat in the Grinder’ released in 2024. It’s a dark concept album that reflects the struggle, anger and anxiety of its protagonist in an eclectic punk-metal crossover in all its derived forms with influences from post punk, gothic, electro, industrial, hardcore, thrash, black metal and psychedelica.
What happens when a man loses everything he ever cared about? How far will he go to seek revenge on those who wronged him? And can he find redemption in a world that seems to be falling apart?
The Meat in the Grinder is a dark, gothic drama about a former academic prodigy who had a bright future ahead, until he was betrayed and fired from his prestigious position. Now, he lives a miserable life of drugs, sex, and violence, haunted by his past and tormented by his enemies.
But one night, he decides to take matters into his own hands and confront the person who ruined his life. Along the way, he meets a mysterious woman who offers him a chance to start over, but also challenges his beliefs and morals. He also encounters a group of rebels who are fighting against the rising tide of fascism and populism.
Will he join them in their cause, or will he pursue his own vendetta? Will he find peace and love, or will he succumb to his inner demons? And will he survive the night that calls his name?
