SnowStorm is a Swiss alternative rock band blending blues-rooted power with Dark Wave atmosphere and deftly crafted songwriting. Drawing inspiration from acts like Black Sabbath and The Beatles, the band delivers a sound that is both raw and refined, rebellious and poetic.
Formed by seasoned musicians Pete Borel and Roberto “Marshal” La Mantia, SnowStorm is the product of decades of shared experience on stage and in the studio. Their creative partnership began in the vibrant Lucerne music scene of the 1980s and was re-ignited in 2022 after each had taken long, divergent musical journeys.
Marshal forged his path with the legendary doom metal band Saint Vitus (USA) and Domina and the Slaves (ZH), and currently also fronts the Sedel band motorslug.
Pete, an accomplished session and studio guitarist, has played with The Bucks, The Dead End Cowboys, and has shared the stage with Emmylou Harris and The Dixie Chicks.
Their reunion as SnowStorm signals a clear musical vision: to craft music that channels emotional depth with sonic force — intimate, intense, gritty and melodic.
