Snuff Redux

Formed on a park bench in the Fall of 2013, Snuff Redux are an anthemic and energetic rock group whose sound is a unique version of Americana that could have only been cultivated in the rain soaked streets of Seattle, Washington. Many listeners cite influences such as <a href="spotify:artist:0epOFNiUfyON9EYx7Tpr6V" data-name="The Strokes">The Strokes</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:3eqjTLE0HfPfh78zjh6TqT" data-name="Bruce Springsteen">Bruce Springsteen</a> and <a href="spotify:artist:0K1q0nXQ8is36PzOKAMbNe" data-name="Spoon">Spoon</a>, but unlike these unfaltering musical heroes, Snuff has a musical approach of experimentation and re-interpretation of contemporary rock standards. They found early support on local airwaves after the releases of two EP’s in 2015, <a href="spotify:album:1UcKkGIkBiBQtCqC0hVAUK" data-name="Toy Kingdom">Toy Kingdom</a> and <a href="spotify:album:2nHSxLBRFe4wB0GtoyvIlg" data-name="Besides You">Besides You</a>, which continued through the 2018 release of their debut album <a href="spotify:album:2bxglY37Cdv3w6U36EgKLu" data-name="Denim American">Denim American</a>, cementing them as a staple in the Seattle scene.

The songs that comprise ‘Denim American’ are love letters to Snuff’s hometown of Seattle, and they take great pride in their PNW roots. Sonically, it contains some of the hallmark squalls of the cities forebears. Snuff is not afraid of fuzz or chorus pedals, but are not defined by them. They have a knack for pop that is consistently present no matter how loud their Peavey’s are.
