Born Solomon "So-Low" Cruz on August 29th, 1991 in Richmond, VA, he grew up with one sister and a single mother who developed his love for music. With her mixed cassettes, burned CDs, and VHS tapes of various music videos So-Low's infatuation with Hip-Hop as a culture grew. He would rap along to various artists such as Bone-Thugs-N-Harmony, Method Man, Busta Rhymes, EPMD, LL Cool J, Etc. taking in the various flows, rhyme patterns, and styles.
As he grew up he became obsessed with creating playlists of his favorite artists and making burned CDs for his friends to listen to. He would spend hours creating the perfect mixtape to capture the intended vibe to the point where his mother bought him an Ion iCue for Christmas to support his love for music.
From 16-24 Solomon became a DJ and gained a mini following in the Maricopa area, being the house DJ for Big Fish/Event AZ, radio DJ for Blaze Radio Station for ASU, and a regular house DJ for various Hookah Lounges.
He began writing poetry, however, he was self-conscious about performing his poetry as he had a slight lisp. In 2015 he overcame his insecurity and recorded his first song "#Cornbread" to which his engineer Freeze said a phrase that he'll always remember "You don't sound the same when you rap, it's different- it's dope".
Putting his respect into the art of rap, So-Low looks to provide an authentic experience with each track. Mixing his East Coast flavor with a West Coast flare, So-Low is a whole vibe.
