Social Capital is a four-piece alternative metal band from Little Rock, Arkansas. Comprised of Sebastian Diaz (lead vocal and guitar), Logan Bias (drums and vocals), Henning Brown (rhythm guitar), and Alan Diaz (bass), the quartet blend elements of metalcore, shoegaze, art rock, and progressive to create a new genre of metal music all of their own while still maintaining a sense of familiarity.
“Under Corporate Eyes” is the band’s debut EP, released on November 15th, 2025. The album was a DIY undertaking, having been recorded all in Logan’s bedroom studio with Sebastian taking care of the production. The whole process was done within the span of three months. The EP explores personal themes of anxiety, connection, and isolation while also touching on wider topics such as labor, war, and status.
Childhood best friends Sebastian and Logan formed the band in the summer of 2023 after a local drag queen invited them to open for one of her shows. Initially a duo, they had a handful of gigs until hitting a plateau, mainly due to a feeling of limitation and readiness. After a show at Vino’s in June 2024, the duo paused and shifted their focus to refining their songs, a period that lasted over the span of a year. In April 2025, Henning joined the band as the guitarist, and Sebastian’s brother Alan joined a couple months later. With the full lineup complete, the band decided it was time to record their first collection of songs.
