SODIE stems from an imagination and longing to explore the unknown. Otherworldly planets, unimaginable ocean depths, and geometric shapes intersect and ultimately create a sense of visual distance and depth that leaves the viewer eager to explore. Sonically, her music reflects the same longing and temperament that is displayed in her paintings. “Feed The Fire” draws influences from 80’s artists like Billy Idol and Madonna to current acts Cannons and Lana Del Rey and sends an empowering message to stay true to your authentic self. SODIE combines influences from multiple microgenres such as indietronica, electro-pop, retro wave, dark pop, and psychedelic dream pop. Cinematic synths, heavy reverb, and atmospheric sounds intertwine to create an otherworldly and ethereal experience that strives to lessen the divide between art and science. SODIE values self-expression, glamour, individual freedom, and being yourself and displays an openness that is a role model for the LGBTQ+ community and teens. She has worked with artists such as Geena Fontanella, Lauren Martinez, and 9 Theory to develop her artistic style and gain her music production, songwriting, and performance skills.
