However in 2022, Soekarno Straat chose to end the journey due to several reasons and agreed to form a new face named "<a href="spotify:artist:4rfIDhYcp6Y4YNoua2KGZk" data-name="holigrey">holigrey</a>" which was introduced towards the end of 2022. All the journeys that have been taken will continue in a new form and maybe this is a little story of how the journey of Soekarno Straat started to become “<a href="spotify:artist:4rfIDhYcp6Y4YNoua2KGZk" data-name="holigrey">holigrey</a>".
Soekarno Straat is an alternative rock and reggae/dub band from East Java. Consists of Dio (Vocal & Guitar), Candra (Guitar), Satria (Keyboard), Fadhil (Bass) and Syafrizal (Drums). Starting from high school in 2013, changing personnel several times and finally Soekarno Straat officially released debut album "<a href="spotify:album:1HvkxDkvorLpPRdG6OE4tb" data-name="Semua Warna">Semua Warna</a>" in 2019.
Entering 2020, pandemic forced Soekarno Straat to temporarily stop musical activities and also decided to release single "<a href="spotify:album:4z0QpTtpYpRST9ASlw23bM" data-name="Jeda">Jeda</a>" in early 2021 as a sign to take a short break from musical activities. Unexpectedly single "<a href="spotify:album:4z0QpTtpYpRST9ASlw23bM" data-name="Jeda">Jeda</a>" received various positive responses from listeners and music expertise in Indonesia, which in the end became the spirit of Soekarno Straat to return.
Mid-2021 was the turning point for Soekarno Straat to return by releasing a new single "<a href="spotify:album:3KfISs8tzXPsGf97LS9I4h" data-name="Mula">Mula</a>", whose approach was quite different from before both in terms of musicality and issues presented. "<a href="spotify:album:3KfISs8tzXPsGf97LS9I4h" data-name="Mula">Mula</a>" was also chosen to be the soundtrack of short movie "Sanjang" which was shown at JAFF 2021.
